Cizer Software Announces the Release of Cizer Quick Query:
Washington DC, Jan 27, 2004 - Cizer Software Corporation announced today that Cizer Quick Query is available January 27th simultaneous with the launch of Microsoft Reporting Services, the new SQL Server reporting technology that is part of Microsoft SQL Server™. Cizer Quick Query is a Windows platform server-based solution which allows Business Users to retrieve data using a query-by-example grid and automatically create Microsoft XML reports in their browser. Quick Query uses Microsoft’s RDL (Report Definition Language) to save reports as .RDL files which can be run and edited by anyone with browser access to a Quick Query server, as well as exported to Excel or PDF. Quick Query supports publishing of the reports to Microsoft’s Reporting Services server, and the .RDL files can be further enhanced in the Cizer Report Builder.
Cizer Report Builder is a robust browser-based application that emulates the Microsoft Reporting Services Visual Studio Report Designer. Cizer Report Builder is a Windows platform server-based solution which allows Report Authors to design sophisticated reports with global queries and parameters libraries that support reusable enterprise report designs. Report Builder uses Microsoft’s RDL (Report Design Language) to save the reports as .RDL files which can be run and edited by anyone with browser access to a Report Builder server, as well as exported to Excel or PDF. Report Builder supports publishing of the reports to Microsoft’s Reporting Services server, and the .RDL files can also be opened in Microsoft’s Visual Studio Report Designer for Reporting Services.
Cizer is currently used as the embedded reporting tool in the federal Probation and Pretrial Services application across the 94 US District Courts. According to the PACTS ECM Reporting Team lead, “Our users require an easy-to-use and easy-to-maintain reporting solution for the high speed reporting done on a daily basis in our offices across the 94 US District Courts. We have used the Cizer Server with our PACTS ECM application to publish reports for several years, but we needed to give our end-users the power to access the data themselves in a secure browser-based environment. Cizer Quick Query and Cizer Report Builder with Microsoft SQL Server™ Reporting Services provides an XML reporting technology that’s both powerful and cost-effective, leveraging our current investment in Microsoft-platform servers.”
Cizer Software has provided data reporting services and solutions for more than 20 years and has published the Cizer Server product since 1996. As a Microsoft Certified Partner, Cizer is known for its reporting expertise and provides SQL Server-based solutions to commercial customers and to the federal government via a GSA schedule. Both commercial and public sector clients rely on Cizer to publish thousands of reports each day and will now be able to create those reports and queries in their browser with the latest .NET XML technology.
